Standing in front of my closet, I was negotiating the daily struggle of how much discomfort I was willing to accept. Would I pick my most comfortable pair of sneakers — the ones I'd still rip off the moment I got home — or endure real pain with every step in a pair of pointed toe flats or heels?

When I could no longer accept this compromise, I went searching for truly comfortable shoes. That's when I discovered barefoot shoes, and the idea that footwear should, in fact, be designed for the natural shape of a foot.

For the first time, I realized the problem wasn’t my feet. It was the shoes. The more I shared my experience, the more women told me they had the same struggle.

But comfort alone wasn't the whole answer. I still wanted the elevated, timeless pieces I'd always loved. Just built the right way.

And so I partnered with my husband Aaron, and together we created what I'd always been searching for — a brand built on a true marriage of elevated aesthetics and function. Designed to work together, not trade places.
